One of the primary organizations we proudly support through KRG Cares is World Central Kitchen (WCK).
Founded by José Andrés and Patricia Andrés, World Central Kitchen was built on a simple but powerful idea: when crisis hits, food is a first response. Over time, that vision has grown into one of the most respected humanitarian organizations in the world—delivering smart, dignified solutions to hunger and poverty when communities need it most.
WCK’s work goes far beyond emergency meals. Their long-term programs focus on food resiliency, local economies, and culinary empowerment.
For example, in Puerto Rico, the Plow to Plate program strengthens local agriculture and prepares communities for future disasters. In Haiti, culinary training programs equip aspiring chefs with skills that elevate careers and support the country’s tourism and hospitality sector.
WCK has also been on the ground during war, natural disasters, localized devastations, and during the global COVID-19 pandemic feeding communities, supporting frontline workers, and setting up temporary kitchens where infrastructure was compromised.
These are the initiatives we stand behind—both morally and financially.
